Folders and sub folders are created to create some semblance of a filing system and works pretty good to find photos. The Year folder contains the Month folders. Within the month, the folders are identified by event or geographical location. Within those folders, most times the individual photo files are batch renamed to further identify specific items. <br /><br />Before making that migration to Apple several years ago, I used Cerious Thumbsplus.
