Grumbling

You know I live in the Mohave Desert (map from Wikipedia).  Pahrump is in the southeastern corner of the darned thing.

Last year we got 1.97" of rain all year.  So what's happening this year?  So far in the first 16 days we've gotten 1.42 inches of rain!  For crying out loud.  Those California mountains aren't keeping us dry this year.  But honestly I shouldn't be complaining.  A nice snow pack and water in the streams and lakes; yeah, that makes a great change.

Of course it being overcast all the time does cut back on the photo ops.  This was a morning just before sunrise.

That sun is just starting to show way down in the southeast.  A day or so later this is what the mountains to our west were looking like.

Tough life but.....  Thanks for stopping by.  Take care & keep being careful!

Hmm.. We have had nothing but rain for as far back as my short memory covers! More for the predictable future except for Sunday when they are calling for snow. But then we are used to it!
