Another quiet day

The day started with us going to bed about 01:00 but then about 03:00 I was having some kind of dream and managed to knock my water over.  Happily it didn't wake my wife but it sure woke me!  I moved out into the recliner and spent the rest of the night there.  My wife woke about 06:30 and came out to feed the dog.  I helped with that then got dressed and ready to hit the gym.  It takes her some to to get ready for the gym so I like to do what I can before she starts getting ready.

We spent the usual half an hour at the gym then hit Albertson's for some breakfast biscuits.  Since we'd both had lousy nights it was something like 09:30 before we had coffee and biscuits.  Then it was dozing most of the day.  Talk about life in the slow lane !

Neither of us was ready for a meal so we had bisuits,  candies and  other unhealthy stuff all day.  We might do better tomorrow but who knows.  Right now we are talking about me making a singular trip to Vegas; the dog problem is that we either have to take him or put him in the K9 canel.  Don't like that either!  We'll see what we decide but right now I'm thinking I'll go it alone.

It's 20:23 right now so making the trip alone sounds fine.  We'll see!  Have a good one and stay away from the sick people!

Quiet day!

Had a very quiet  day today.  Got going and hit the gym so Judie could get some exercise from Ryan.  I did 5 minutes on the treadmill but that was it.  Came home stopping at Albertson's for rolls.  Judie had some Top Ramen with beef; I had a piece of turkey and some cole slaw.  TV all afternoon; planning on Vegas on Friday but need to do the laundry tomorrow.

Watched lots of tv:  quite a bit of cooking then 3 or 4 hours of  British mystery.  Now it's 01:10 so need to hit the sack PDQ!

Life goes on----

Well, it was two months since the last update.  Now it's only a week or two!  Anyway, the other night I got into bed thinking I would sleep but the I heard a moan.  I looked at my wife's office chair; she wasn't there checking her BP; I looked her side of the bed; she wasn't there.  I propped myself up a bit and there she was groaning on the carpet!  Of course I jumped up and checked on her; she was ok just couldn't get up.  Well, for an old fart I'm pretty strong so I got her up onto a chair.  And we eased her into bed and that was the end of that story.

The next one is more exciting.  We buy food for the VFW food bank.  We had some stuff in the truck and wanted to take it to the food bank.  Our dog doesn't  like getting into the truck so we have a lift for him.  I was picking it up and fell on my back!  Needless to say my wife can't lift me so she called the EMT's.  And they wanted to take me to the hospital!  I kept saying 'no' but my wife kept saying 'yes' so they took me!  I spent the whole day laying there on my back and going for tests!  What a waste of time and money!  But I ended the day with the doctor's ok.  So that's good!  Life in the fast lane & all that.

The last couple of days have been a sleepy ones.  I was scheduled for an MRI day before yesterday; no water or coffee until after the test.  What fun!  I'll hear the results next week.  My wife went to the gym the other morning and I just slept through the whole thing.  We did finally make it to the VFW.  Then we came home and I went into the office and slept some more!  It's 14:00 and I finally woke up!  Life in the slow lane.  Today is Saturday and we've hit the gym and spent $80 at the grocery store.  More fun yet to come next week!
