We have managed to pack a whole bunch of fun stuff into these finally days before the holiday. Ain't it fun! First of all we did donate the trailer to the American Legion Vehicle Donation project.
So there it is going on down the road with the guys who picked it up for the charity. Now it will most likely be auctioned off with the proceeds helping the Legion with their good deeds. At some point we will get a valuation that we might be able to use as a tax deduction. We'll see. All we need to do now is turn in the license plate and cancel the insurance.
You may not know but I am a fairly liberal person. We live, however, in a VERY conservative area. I mean you still see people flying flags urging the election of Donald Trump in 2024 even though the news is full of Republicans backing away from him. So it was no surprise to us when a local Justice of the Peace replacement was certainly going to be a Republican. In the end, however, the county council chose someone who is just over the top. This person just moved to town from Las Vegas where she has managed to make herself just a bit too unpopular. The woman's name is Michele Fiore. She is a big supporter of Mr. Trump and even had a letter from him that she could read in the council meeting. I mean, doesn't he have anything else to do except recommend candidates for Justice of the Peace in a minor corner of Nevada? Her plan is to work on her Batchlor's Degree and study the law. Well, happily the JP's in this corner of the world don't have a lot on their plates. But I'm sure it will be interesting.
I had to go into Las Vegas the other day and saw this by the side of the road on the way home. I thought it was pretty cool.
